A painting of New Hall Mill by Rhoda Wortley

This charming painting of New Hall Mill can be seen hanging in our Tea Room. The artist is Rhoda Wortley, nee Glen, who was a good friend of New Hall Mill's last miller, Ben Davis - she created this painting as a personal gift for him. She brought her family to visit the mill almost every week, and Rhoda's daughter has fond memories of playing in the mill and its grounds.

Rhoda was a school teacher who taught at Maney Hill School in the 1980s. She was President of Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists from 1999 to 2001.

We are now in touch with Rhoda's daughter, who is going to help us with some more information - watch this space!
