The Cart Shed

Our long-term plan for the cart shed is to develop it as a bygone farming display area. It is currently used on Open Days to showcase a small selection of agricultural implements.

The Wagon

By the end of 2024 the wagon in the cart shed was starting to look a little jaded and in need of some TLC. In October we carefully dismantled it.

The wheels and axles have now gone away to be renovated by a wheelwright, and our volunteers are tackling the body. In the photo below you can see that we're making a small start on the restoration.

Here you can see the interior of the Cart Shed at the end of the 2024 season, before putting the chairs and tables away for winter storage.

Bricks

There is a display of locally made bricks to the right of the cart shed by the viewing area and bike racks.
