New Hall Mill Open Day 13th Sep 2026

It seems extraordinary that we've already reached the last Open Day of the season. The weather was extraordinarily kind to us on Bank Holiday Monday - let's hope it can do it one last time!

The Mill is participating in Birmingham Heritage Week with this final Open Day.

Entrance free, open from 10am to 4pm.

Please note that the Mill will close for lunch from 1pm to 2pm, visitors can see the wheel start up again at 2pm.

Our Usual Attractions

The Mill and its waterwheel should be in full working order, complete with working millstones and machinery driven by our vintage diesel engine. As usual, we'll be demonstrating how the mill grinds wholemeal flour.

The Tearoom will be open for cream teas, cakes, ice creams, and hot and cold drinks.

The Stable Gift Shop and Museum with its ever-changing displays and stock of second-hand fiction books. It also sells honey and ice creams!

New Hall Mill Raffle (with the lovely Rafflettes). Thanks to everyone who has donated raffle prizes.

Plants and produce for sale in the Miller’s Garden

Auntie Wainwright's is always popular for hand tools, power tools, gardening equipment, bric-a-brac, jigsaws, kitchenware, and more. There are some great bargains to be found. Look out for the green "Make me an Offer" stickers!
